What have you been up to?
The last six months or so have been really busy but I’ve learned a lot and its been great fun. I’ve just finished designing an iPhone app and website for an idea I had for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, called World Cup Wall. I wanted to get fans from all around the world to upload their World Cup photos and create a unique photo album. Fans can also take photos on their iPhone and upload them to the wall. All the World Cup fixtures are listed too so it really is a great app for football fans this summer.
I’m also in the middle of a corporate site redesign for a client. The aim is to give the site a brand new look and feel and make it much more appealing and engaging. I’m excited to see the final result.
Sites you’ve visited?
I read design blogs all the time to stay up-to-date with the industry, find inspiration and learn new techniques. Smashing Magazine, Web Designer Depot and Tripwire Magazine are a few of my favourites.
What technologies excite you right now?
I’m dying to get my hands on an iPad. I’m curious to see how it changes everyone’s web-viewing habits and am looking forward to building sites and apps specifically for it.
Interesting fact about yourself?
I lived in Holland for six years when I was younger.
